Welcome! The Park Police Volunteer Association is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.   We are all volunteers dedicated to the service of the Park Police and the Prince Georges County community.   All PPVA Volunteers have completed the Park Police Volunteer Academy. Some of the many services the PPVA provides are:
- Park Watch - Walk or bike ride the many trails in PG County to extend the "eyes & ears" of the Park Police
- Fingerprinting - We provide fingerprinting of citizens and children at Headquarters & many community events
- Festivals - We assist with traffic & crowd control
- Fairs & Shows - From our Park Police booth, we hand out brochures and talk to the public about the services and programs of the Park Police and our organization
- Horses - Feed & groom the horses used by the mounted unit of the Park Police
- Grants - Help in writing to obtain grant money in furthering the operation of the department
- Victim/Witness Assistance Program - Assist victims & witnesses with transportation
- We also provide clerical help to the Park Police at Headquarters
Many of the PPVA Volunteers have won the "President's Volunteer Service Award" from the
